Excellent blade. This blade makes perfect cuts when ripping or crosscutting. I never thought a blade this expensive would be worth the money, but this one is worth every penny.

 "Excellent blade!" 2009-03-04

This blade is awesome and well worth the money. The cuts are as smooth as glass. I considered a Glue Line Rip from Freud, but as of right now I see no need. When this gets dull I will buy another while this one is being sharpened.

 "This blade is awesome" 2009-02-12

I was a little reticent when buying this blade. After years working in and with marketing groups, I look at packaging and claims with much skepticism. Plus, $100 (the entirety of my hidden stash) felt like a lot of money to spend, especially since I already owned a top end blade.

Fast forward a couple of months since that purchase and knowing what I know now, I would do the same thing again. This has almost become my exclusively used blade (the two exceptions I have so far are cove cuts and cuts where I need a flat bottom - e.g. for visible splines).

Since purchasing this blade, I've done a lot of work with maple, maple plywood and some work with walnut. With the hardwoods, I've done a lot of ripping and crosscutting. On my 3-HP cabinet saw, cuts are effortless and come out very smooth. My first few cuts with the blade left me grinning widely. Now, I don't necessarily grin as widely as before, but I'm still very pleased with the quality and ease of cuts.

Any issues I have had when using this blade, I attribute to setup errors or wood under heavier stress.

 "One size fits all..." 2008-10-21

This is a nice blade. It cuts very clean. I like it better than the 30T and 40T WW2 in plywood and melamine. I haven't done extensive ripping in thick dense stock however. But in the 3/4 material I have tried there was no burning in the curly cherry I was using. And the rips were glue ready. Saw marks were minimal as well. The feed rate felt good. However as far as feed rate It wasn't a 24T or 20T rip blade. When I cut some Home Depot Melamine with the right feed rate I got 0 tear out. I looked, and didn't find any. It was like using an 80T Hi-ATB blade (which I did for comparison). But I guess zero is zero. So as far as 1 blade for most tasks I would highly recommend it. I don't know if I would justify the price if I were going to be doing a ton of ripping in thick stock, and or a ton of plywood or cross cutting. I'd probably be better off getting a blade dedicated for each purpose for the longevity. But as a hobbyist using a single blade for a whole project with great results, definitely. Just check around for sales as with anything else.

 "Plywood Yes, Rip No" 2008-10-08
By John D. Kruzan (Columbus, OH)
I purchased this blade for my tablesaw for plywood crosscuts. I selected this blade in hopes of having a general purpose blade that I can just leave on the saw. I found the plywood cuts from this blade to be exceptional. No chipout at all.

I am disappointed in the ripping ability of this blade. It burns. I spent a lot of time re-aligning and tunning up my table saw before I even mounted the blade so I can only blame the blade at this point.

So, I highly recommend this blade for plywood and crosscuts but I am sticking with my Frued thin kerf rip blade for ripping.
