These long blades cut through anything it seems and don't dull very fast either. In making a treehouse, I cut through trees, plywood, nails, 2x4s, treated 4x4 - all quickly and safely. I used the same blade the whole time - it never broke despite my bending it in akward positions while cutting and still seemed shard at the end.

Every need to cut through a thick beam or reach that nail in a tight spot? This blade is great! I was a little skeptical at fist because the blade was so long but it is surprisingly sturdy. I have cut items that were hard to reach with just the tip with excellent control. I have also cut thick beams using the entire length of the blade without it getting bogged down. It is a great blade to keep in your case for those special projects.

When it comes to working with fiber cement, there just aren't a lot of options for cutting this material. And when it's time to cut arcs or notches around windows, doors, etc. the playing field narrows even more. So what are your choices? I suppose you could use some combination of fiber cement shears or circular saw blades, but this could be tedious and leave some ugly overcuts in the piece. Using a handsaw might be OK too, but if you have to make long cuts around big windows that could get tiresome quickly. In this case the right tool for the job are these jigsaw blades. They're fast, clean and durable. I can't think of a better tool for the job, and these should be a considered a requirement for any project that involves putting fiber cement around anything.

Bought these blades for my re-siding project on my home. I am nearly complete with the project and am still on my first blade. I made hundreds of cuts with this blade and think it's an indispensable tool if you are thinking of cutting fiber cement siding board especially to make it fit around windows, doors, hose bibs, lights etc. 3 blades will last a homeowner forever! They work just as advertised and I wasn't able to find them at any of my local home improvement centers. In fact none of the tool people at those stores even knew what I was looking for. I bought this to cut notches in some HArdie trim and Hardie panel. Even though I was cutting circles in cement board, it cut just like wood with a wood blade. Highly recommended if you need to make those pesky holes and notches in Hardie products.
