"A must have for your table saw." 2009-10-18
By Russ Lyons (Lexington, KY)
I have this blade installed on my Grizzly 1023s. The quality of cut is incredible compared to blades in the $30-$50 dollar range that I have used before. I have used in on pine, ash and birch plywood and it cuts each without difficulty and no split out. The edges look as though they were sanded the cut is so smooth.

I was reluctant to spend the money 18 years ago when I first bought this blade. I now see it as one of the very best investments I have ever made in tools.

"Best saw blade out there" 2008-11-17
By Charles F. Poneleit (Sweetwater, TN United States)
I have probably over the 57 years into wood working never used as fine as the FORREST 10" Woodworker II saw blade. This is the best blade bare none on the market today. I also have the Forrest 8" dado King and the Forrest 12" 60 tooth miter saw blade. All exelent blades. I will owne or use no other.

"excellent for low power saws" 2008-09-14
By F. Carrino
I have had this blade for a few months now and have used it to cut over 400 bd ft of hardwood (mostly walnut) with a Bosch 4000 portable Job-site table saw. I have used many different blades on this saw over the years (freud thin, Dewalt woodworker, etc etc) and this is the best blade I have ever used for this type of saw. The thin kerf is perfect for under powered saws. Now for my 3 hp Jet TS I use a full kerf blade (forrest is great as is the freud fusion) because the thicker metal is more stable and leaves a cleaner cut. I highly recommend this blade for ALL portable saws and any saw with less then 1 1/2 hp. It makes a very clean cut in both cross cuts and rips. This blade excels at cutting hardwoods and is worth the higher price.

"Good Investment, not expensive when on sale for this high quality blade" 2008-08-15
By JD (Houston, TX United States)
I buy this woodworker II 10" 40 tooth 3/64" kerf & dampener on Amazon.com

I cut & rip softwood & hardwood. The cut is a lot smoother with this blade comparing to Bosch blade shipped w/ 4000-09 table saw.

Price range is around $70-100.

Although it's a thin kerf 3/64" compare to 1/8" of original Bosch blade, the carbide teeth is at least 2x bigger. You can resharpen this blade several times.

The joint between carbide teeth and the steel is kind of rusty when I receive it. The teeth is protected by vinyl during S&H. I may send email to Forrest to ask why. I don't see it's affect the cut quality. Just wonder why it's like that on brand new blade.

"the best blade hands down..." 2009-03-22
By John Rush (wash,dc)
forrest makes a great saw blade, and they stand behind it 100%... they also resharpen the blades when they inevitably get dull, and they come back as good as new, you cannot find a better product, anywhere... buy both the ripping and crosscut, and use them appropriately, and you will be glad you did....

 "Not always great." 2008-06-27
By Professional Woodworker (san francisco)
I have been a huge fan of Forrest blades, using them almost exclusively, but when I bought a second Woodworker I so I would have something to use while the other one is being sharpenned, I was greatly disappointed with what I received. The center bore was tighter than normal and all the cuts burned. I may be willing to pay twice the price for the quality, but the company better work twice as hard on quality control.

Amazon sent me a replacement, which I haven't tried yet, but I hope this isn't a sign that Forrest has gotten too big for itself. I'll jump ship if this happens again.

 "The Best" 2006-10-05
By Malgorzata E. Zaluska (New York)
This is quality. The blade works like a hot knife to butter, enhances the cutting power of your machine. Freud nor Amana come close to this. It is pricey; double what a Freud blade would cost. Though you can send this back to the manufacturer for a resharpening at a smaller cost than a new blade.

I have had this blade for a year and a half..I can say that it is the best of the best. I now will have to have it resharpened, my fault,I did not scan first, cutting some "old salvaged" 2 x 4 and just happened to get into some dry wall screws. Believe it ! it still give an ok cut but I want it better..I would buy another in a second if needed.

There is nothing to complain about with this blade, but I say save your money. The difference between this and $60 Freud I was using prior is barely noticeable.

 "Disappointed" 2009-06-01
By Simon Leung (Danville, IL United States)
I bought this blade because of someone's recommendation. I am disappointed with the performance of this blade as it causes a lot of burnt marks on my wood, both solid and plywood. It also does not cut as smoothly as my lower cost blades. May be it needs to be sharpened but it is brand new and I can't find anyone locally to sharpen it.

 "over-hyped, good blade" 2009-05-12
By Chris Miller (oakland, ca United States)
first some background: i got a new ridgid miter saw and used it for a while. i replaced the stock blade with a freud 12" crosscut blade and was blown away by how smoothly it cut.

after the stock blade on my new bosch table saw got a little dull i decided to upgrade to this one. i used it right away to rip a piece of 2x4 douglas fir. i wasn't too impressed. it left a smooth cut, but didn't make the cut any easier on the motor. out of curiousity i went with a freud 24 tooth rip blade. i found it to be an easier cut, but it wasn't as smooth on crosscuts (which makes sense since it wasn't designed to crosscut). my conclusion in these tests is that the forrest blade is nice if you have the power of a cabinet table saw, but probably won't work for those of us who can't shell out 1k for a table saw. it's freud for me from now on.

 "WoWII" 2009-03-19
By Brian Prusa (Asheville,NC USA)
This is my first expensive blade and I can say that I will not go back. The cut is so clean I could not see any saw marks. The time saved on sanding alone is worth the price of the blade. I have always heard how great Forrest is but was not convinced until I tried it myself. Everyone knows that sharp tools make working safer too and this is super sharp. I have not seen any burning or anything. I have cut through 2" thick bubinga and the cut was clean and just took a little sanding to get it finished. I am using this blade on a Ryobi BTS15 tablesaw. Not a great saw but upgrade the blade and it is spectacular.
