good tool when it is needed but the blades are still pricey. So like many other carpenters i use them sparingly and use the sawzall as much as possible.. when it is needed they do the job!!!!!!

This blade worked fine cutting through old flooring tongue and grove boards and the nails in them. But when I hit a screw the blade teeth flattened. It's not clear to me at what speed the Fein blades should operated -- is there a guide for that? Why is the blade type printed only on the cutting part of the blade? Fein MultiMaster FMM 250Q Top
There are other cheaper Fein Multimaster clones out there but this tool is far better in performance and quality than most others. Its worth it to me to pay a higher price. I got my first Multimaster in 1988 (before it was called Multimaster) and it lasted, with extensive use, until 2005. I repair boats and this tool has done many jobs. I have both the original "Multimaster" and the new lever action one. I expect both tools will outlast me. I give this tool 5+ stars.

As far as I know, no one else makes blades for the Multimaster. As a result, their blades are greatly overpriced. And, they don't last very long. You have to be very careful with these blades or they will dull or break. Sometimes even a new blade will cause wood to burn or smoke. Definitely not for heavy duty work. Wish someone else would make these blades.
