This product arrived with a wobble on the saw blade. I decided to try the other blade and see if it wobbled. I soon found out that to change the saw blade you have to disassemble the saw. To change the blade you must remove the motor as well as the safety ground, essentially every screw on the machine must be removed. Be sure the unit is unplugged as it is easy to trip the power switch, which now has the ground removed and the motor detached from the cast mount with a sort of sharp carbide blade attached. Removed the nuts to get the blade off requires two very large metric wrenches. When the saw is to be reassembled the blade must be realigned or it will cut at an angle. There is no facility for doing this except by trial and error. While doing that you will no doubt gouge the blade into the cast iron blade guard as there is almost no clearance between the blade and the cast mount.



Having discovered all that I mounted the second diamond tip blade. It wobbled too. Further investigation showed that the motor shaft was bent.



After all that there is more bad news. The saw has near zero adjustment in blade height. The adjustment is by set screw and has no method to slightly adjust, it just moves any way it wants. The saw is also noisy and rattles badly.



I regret the day I ever bought this saw. It is an unmitigated piece of [...].

A great idea for small work, but designed poorly. High speed, but no power. Even cutting 1/4" plywood bogs it down. Blade is not true enough to do fine work. The built in blade cover prevents cutting long pieces. They will not clear the bracket for the cover. Such a great idea if designed properly.

I do construction for a living. I've remodeled whole houses as well as hung and finished drywall for 13 years. I've been using these blades for a couple years now. They are the most durable knife blades I've ever had! Before I used the Lenox Gold blades I was using standard Stanly blades for my drywall work. The switch was a little painful at first because of the price difference but the first time I used a Gold blade took all the pain away. It's like comparing apples to oranges. At the moment I am hanging drywall for a living and these blades will last me a whole house of hanging before I even have to turn the blade over!



These deserve 10 stars and I recommend that everyone who has need for a strong, sturdy knife blade buy these!

The included case is great for storage but not as useful as I had hoped it would be, as I cannot see what size blades I have remaining as well as removing a single blade on the fly takes a little bit more care than I would have hoped.



I would recommend purchasing blades that are black in color, as after first use, the yellow coating is instantly wiped off making the blades look more used than they actually are.

I've been using Shark Saws on a frequent basis for 5-6 years. They just WORK. I use them most as jamb saws, but have also pressed them into use for long rips on Southern pine decking (long story short- I once had to rip cut a 12 foot long 5/4 deck plank and had no access to electricity or battery powered tools). Worked up a sweat, but the coarse tooth side of that Shark Saw did the job like no push saw could have. In the course of trimming jambs, I've cut through many finish nails with the fine tooth side and still have a functional saw. They are a fantastic, durable tool. I recommend them without any reservations.

These pull saws are the best! I often use them instead of a power saw, especially when accuracy is important. They cut much faster and waste much less material than most hand or power saws. Very sharp, handy little saw. Cuts on the pull stroke, so be careful - the last cut can be a doozey when the blade breaks through and is comin' at ya! Sharp little sucker. Sometimes you just don't want to grab the bigger power saw when all you have is a couple of cuts, and this one is quick and accurate. Don't hit any nails, 'tho, or you'll be buying a new blade sooner than later! (don't ask me how I know that!)
