The blade is good for fine cutting. I like the fine tooth side of the blade. The side with the larger teeth is very hard to control. I wish they made a replacement blade with both sides with fine teeth.

I've been using Shark Saws on a frequent basis for 5-6 years. They just WORK. I use them most as jamb saws, but have also pressed them into use for long rips on Southern pine decking (long story short- I once had to rip cut a 12 foot long 5/4 deck plank and had no access to electricity or battery powered tools). Worked up a sweat, but the coarse tooth side of that Shark Saw did the job like no push saw could have. In the course of trimming jambs, I've cut through many finish nails with the fine tooth side and still have a functional saw. They are a fantastic, durable tool. I recommend them without any reservations.

These pull saws are the best! I often use them instead of a power saw, especially when accuracy is important. They cut much faster and waste much less material than most hand or power saws. Very sharp, handy little saw. Cuts on the pull stroke, so be careful - the last cut can be a doozey when the blade breaks through and is comin' at ya! Sharp little sucker. Sometimes you just don't want to grab the bigger power saw when all you have is a couple of cuts, and this one is quick and accurate. Don't hit any nails, 'tho, or you'll be buying a new blade sooner than later! (don't ask me how I know that!)

I purchased the Larson coping saw and also a set of 5 blades at the same time. I can't imagine how many cuts I thought I would be making - I use a coping saw only for molding/trim work, and only for some inside corners. The blade that came with the saw will probably last a couple years of occassional use considering how well it has performed so far.

I have the Robert Larson coping saw and I purchased these replacement blades for it. The saw and the blades are high quality and I can recommend them completely. These German blades last a long time and cut and cope cleanly with very little tear out even in soft woods. They turn on a pretty tight radius. This blade has only one application, as far as I know, since the only machine it's designed for is Makita's cordless reciprocating saw. But it works great, allowing you to take the saw anywhere the job may require, and quickly cut through just about any metal, as long as you can get the saw into position correctly, and keep the base of the blade tight to the material. That's true with most reciprocating saws, of course, and lax attention to that rule is what finally snapped off my 15 year old blade at both the tip and the base at once, prompting my order of this 5-pack, which will probably last longer than me.



The portability of this cutting power is much used and appreciated at my house.

I have purchased many of these and agree that this is the best price. We use these in our shop all the time and they are fabulous. A few words of warning. Anyone not experienced with this type of cutting should not try it with this blade. I discovered a few weeks ago that our blade has missing teeth from overuse, overheating and inexperienced workers. Be careful cut slow and the blade will do it's job well. Rush or don't follow directions exactly and you will cost yourself alot of time and money. I recommend these blades to everyone doing this type of work. They greatly reduce the amount of grinding / cleaning required.

The problem I have is that the "NEW" tooth design can only be resharpened 1 or 2 times which does not help with the overall cost. I intent to send my latest order back and look for a better blade with more carbide.
